Re: Project Fury II has begun
While the car is being finalized for paint, Geo tore down the 8.8 housing, and installed the heavy duty goodies.
Donor from 1998 GT Housing bushings cleaned out Bushing shrapnel ! Free from the stock Trac-loc and 3:27 cogs, cleaned & awaiting a new cog Gun owners should .appreciate this. Geo used numerous passes with brake clean soaked rags to insure the inner tubes were free from old lube & contamination. Numerous passes until the rags came through with ZERO dirt. New bearings

Re: Project Fury II has begun
Looks brand new
Races A set of 3:55 gears going in, thanks to Chris Jones at BBR for donating a set of take outs. Ring gear mounted to the Eaton differential. Thanks to Jeff from Nitrostang for the great deal on the Eaton. Superior 31 spline axles nestled in Assembled! Mounting a T/A Girdle, after the axle tubes get welded up, & paint

Re: Project Fury II has begun
Paint work is complete! Wetsanding and buffing, and final tweaks commencing this week, then she is back to the shop for wiring and the reconstruction.
They did a fantastic job, and kudos again to George for navigating the entire process step by step.

Re: Project Fury II has begun
Paint work and wetsanding/buffing is now complete. She's back in GEO's shop awaitng reconstruction. Wiring will commence soon, with interior restoration to follow.
The pictures just do not do the workmanship justice. Quote, It's CRYSTAL CLEAR! Ride back from the body shop Back to the operating room Alright, wheels gotta go True Forged Mach 5's may be in the future, like these Engine bay the way it should be, without the swiss cheese look Tucked away
